From 26-28 September 2023, the third MINT Festival Jena will take place. Now, the detailed programme is available and schools can now plan their MINT Festival day. For some events, registration by a teacher is necessary - this is possible from 12 June at www.mint.uni-jena.de de. Participation in the MINT Festival Jena is free of charge thanks to the support of sponsors and patrons. Limited travel grants are also available to schools.
Workshops, lectures, shows, interactive exhibition and more
MINT is the German abbreviation for STEM. The MINT Festival Jena is a science festival all about science, technology, engineering and mathematics for pupils from primary school to senior high school. The programme includes over 50 workshops, more than 20 lectures, an exhibition with around 30 interactive exhibits, science shows and offers for study and career orientation. A total of around 30 institutions from Jena and beyond are participating in the programme. These include the two universities in Jena, non-university research institutes from the Jena Beutenberg Campus and various companies.
Family afternoon on 27 September for all young and old STEM fans
The regular programme of the MINT Festival Jena is primarily aimed at school classes. But all other STEM fans can also look forward to the festival: For them, there will be a family afternoon on 27 September from 4 pm. All interested parties are welcome to attend.
